Just fished the bottom of walker down at pottery bank - got back in the house at 9pm. After 7.30 the rats started coming out to play spotted at least 5 (no "Giant" or "Huge" ones). Saw plenty of little ones flitting about attacking the crabs. Here fishy, fishy!

Mind you a can speak for myself, fell down a 5 foot deep old water drain on middle docks a couple years ago!! Hard to think how a could not see the 4ft wide hole like...Last edited by <(Andy2009)>; 01-10-2011, 09:16 AM.South Shields & District SAC

working on green lane felling in one of the factories a few years ago and there was a bang and the power went off.the sprky reset the breakers and we all had a niff of somit cooking .couple of the lads sniffed it out to an electricity conduit(8in by 12 in box section)inside was a rat that had bitten through the wires n fried itsel ,turned the power back off and removed the rat and it was the size of a small cat, that's the biggest iv seen but the smallest was the most cheeky.
going through the underpass at jarrow bus station on the way to work(starting at 6 am)found rat nibbling on half a stotty,it stopped eating as i approached and kept a beady eye on is as i past ,i thought ya cheeky sod and launched a kick at it ,calm as you like it picked up the stotty and walked farther down the pass,on passing it the second time before i could lash out with another kick calm as you like picked it up n moved to its original position and concluded its meal before making off.

I was fishing off the front of the call centre at Brighams once and my line snagged on the rocks at the bank when I was retrieving it, before I could get it loose a rat ran out and knicked the bait off my hook. I still remember its little beady eyes looking at me before it ran off probably thinking "ner ner ner ner ner".
