  • Worst place for rats?

Where's the worst place around here for being plagued by rats when fishing? Just wondered as was having a bag of chips for lunch down at the middens carpark when a giant one jumped out of the rocks in front of me. Put chips in the bin and fu**ed off as the sight of a rat completely fu*ks my whole day up.
I had a look up cambois the day and was just thinking that the estuary bank next to north blyth could be a canny shot for them.

Been on the rocks at Cullercoats and they've appeared sniffing round spare baited traces etc.
                Cheers, Keith.

down the lane towards the low drum at hendon is the worste for me. one night i fished from the top of the wall it was that bad (good few years back now)

would off ****ed off home but the fishing was that good that night

cullernose point hides a few big rats too along with loads of mice. had a few near encounters at night there when they try to nick your bait

The Low drum itself was really bad for them, they appeared from where the old post was in the middle.
Had them climbing in my bag a few times...
They don,t really bother me,but its the chance of catching Weils desease from there p!ss thats the worry.
You can catch it just by putting your bare hand where they have p!ssed.
