Any lads got advice on taking a technium apart? Handle is very hard to turn on mine ,put oil in the service port but very sluggish.Washed and oiled after every session had 2 winters only been used about 30 times max, feels like it could be a bearing on its way out maybe? Not impressed!!

You need take rotor head off, tobe able take bodyside plates off. This will give you access to drive and support bearings and gearing drive.Had mine apart fully three times in 18months after drowning it,and being sandblasted a few times.I generally only oil roller bearing, every trip after wash/wipe over, and marine grease bail arm mechanics and bail arm head pivots both sides every now and then.So far runs sweet as,and its been used heavily everywhere past two full winters plus all last summer,
Shimano UK will do a full service for around £15+ pp,had mates send theirs in bits come back like new in less than a week. And will advise on any parts needing replaced and price.

Sussed reel out and it was nowt sinisterThere is a black skirt around the bottom of the spool which has two lugs that sit in grooves in the rotor .These lugs keep the skirt alighned as the spool moves up and down. One of these lugs had come out of the groove so when the spool came to the down position it was jamming against the reel body.Just in case it happens to yours......
