  • Penn 535 GS MAG KNOBBY ?

What are the Penn 535 GS MAG KNOBBY good for are they for boat shore fishing or both.
Are they an old reel, can they cast a good distance, are they reliable.
Any info on this reel is welcome as I cant find any.

One problem "knobby" means the little magnetic control knob on the side, and its very prone to breaking. I found this out with a penn 525 supermag extra "knobby" when it fell 3ft from the couch and smashed breaking the holder for the magnets inside. I dunno if this has been resolved or not... Youll have to find out.

My 525 mag, is not a knobby one, and that can take the abuse. Just wait for someone else to reply too see if this is the same with the 535, as ive never owned one

the 535 mag knobby is a good casting reel and decent for the rough ground, but i prefer the supermag and defo the SL30SH over the knobby, each to their own i suppose

I recon I might be looking for a SL30SH or SL20SH in the near future.
                              Thanks Jimmy
