When is the best time to fish there, was thinking about going there if i can get me uncle to go , since he has got the transport and all. Has anyone fished there lately and if they have, did they get out and what did they get them on.

Take a bucket full of Mussel with you great bait from there and BE CAREFULL if the sea is still running.

    Jim.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

marksy hi aint seen you on here in a while ,if you drive into cullercoats ,go past the pub on the bend and turn into the housing estate on the right (heading north) take a sharp right as you get into the houses and drive down to the end ,you should see a ramp park at the bottom and you can fish nancys whatsitsface at hi water or walk down the steps on the far left for low water ,keep checking the tide on the flood but you should be ok as theres a sandy stretch out from the wall with rocks to either side ,let me know how you get on as im giving it a shot myself over the weekend
          cheers Bri

                    Marksy,

IanW and me were down there last night, we got nowt but a lad along from us had a couple of codlings, we only stayed about 2 hours.

If you fish the north side at low water, I reckon you\'d be ok in wellies if you watch where you are walking!

                    HAPPY BIRTHDAY by the way!
                    Cheers, Keith.

If you have never fished it, keep well away from the north side of Cullercoats Harbour, very dangerous

Got to agree with AC. If you fish the gullies its not too bad but if you want to fish in the main harbour gut you\'re restricted to one main rock on big spring tides. Not the place for the faint hearted. Much better to fish the south side, on the flat skeers. Fish any time the skeers are bare but expect more on the flood than the ebb. Watch when the skeers get awash as it happens quickly. Thats also the best side for fish.

Here\'s a couple of pix of the area: both are from the same location on the North side, looking South..........
