        had my sl30sh about 8 yrs now and never ever had any kind of problem with it at all, except that i took the brakes out hahaha

          I gave up with the sloshes after 2 failed on me. I might well have had dodgy batches as a lot of people swear by them. 525s and Saltist for me now, although looking for a torium but very expensive

              Had my slosh for years nw use it for piers me to up grading to a saltist 20 but never get rid of slosh it would be a good back up reel

                I had nowt but bother with my slosh 30 ive just sold it for a tenner on here
                Mind i bought it sexond hand and the guy i bought it off on here didnt describe the reel very good at all and was breaking when i bought the thing

                Im now looking for another slosh 30

                  cos now it flies mate, if ya got ya centrifugal blocks in, that slows the spool speed a bit, so no need for brakes really

                    used me SL30SH to winch me 11 lb cod up the face of the wherry, and also through the kelp, coped no bother, got supermags but i would put the slosh against them any day

                        First thing I did when I got an sl30 was hoy all the brake blocks in the bin.TBH I'd do that with any reel. Nice reel for getting yer gear back quickly and winching fish in and a good chucking reel.
