Still can\'t believe that 16ins is legal for Bass. When it is tried to be put right it will be too late.

          Jim.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

40.6cm or 16\" is not the leagl size for bass it is actually only 38cm. As for those going for rockling they are inelligible. And i am doing the weigh in

you could say the same for Whiting Jim,people get slatted in the summer when fishing for Mackerel for taking more than they need etc etc sounds like the Whiting just get dumped after the comps because they are not big enough to fillet and stink of #### but because Joe Bloggs has won £500 in the Royston Vasey open it makes it ok,IMO they should up the size limit and reduce the number of fish allowed to weigh in,as Bri H says they will bag up on them then sort through what they want
              Cheers Alan...

Totally agree Alan, up the size limit, rather than introduce a bag limit. A size limit of 40cm would be good

What really sticks in my throat is the min size of codling........
codling, coalfish = 35cm (13.8ins), foocing hell, my baits are bigger than that (and I aint kidding).
Would break my heart having to bash a codlings head that little, against a rock!
But hey !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I aint a match fisherman, I only take home the fist one over 3lb, the rest go back.
And that goes for whiting (not the 3lb bit, any whiting) that always manage to get on my 8/0s wether they are dead or alive, back into the system where they are of some use..
Before you get on my case \"I only fish for sport, dont eat the sh!te, dont fish matches, only do it for the love of it\".
I suppose I would be the same as most if I were a matchman
Hope all goes well with the comp and I hope the best man or woman (chuckle) wins.

Davy it would probably reduce \"the bag limit\" anyway as it would be harder to catch a bigger one therefore there would be less caught
                      Cheers Alan...
