All that will happen now is , the ones fishing for whitings will keep the lot then sort out thier Biggest 20 and sling the rest

Got to agree with Bob on this one ,

Even with the whiting going mad in the Seaton Sluice Open the biggest bag of whitng was only 21, getting 20 whitng on saturday will take some doing, alright if you where on your own, but if the conditions are like they are now the whiting marks will be packed, so you will be competeing for what is there.

Hadn\'t thought about weighing Rockling in Steve, I normally boot the horrible little sods back in. Is there a size limit for them?

Another point is, say you do get your 20 whiting out in a reasonable time, do you fish on looking for bigger ones, or do you go onyo one of the rock marks and look for a codling or 2?

A lot of the opens in SW scotland have a doggie limit, so you normally get them out of the way, then fish for something else.

Looking at the North Easterlies forecast for Saturday, it might not have to come down to max whiting bags (with any luck lol)

not a hope in hell for me fishing for whitings, but thats my personell choice, it is something i dont enjoy....would rather catch nowt and enjoy myself, however i may still catch one or two but wont be targeting them specifically..each to own chioce of fishing

Not fishing now (oot on the lash with Sless and Debra)- but agree with you Bob ,i couldnt be ar*ed to target whiting (each to their own) did it once in our club (10lb +) didnt enjoy at all ,but if a one can get a 6/0- 4/0 pennel down its neck so be it
