    Got a phone call off the bairn he said the piers closed for repairs, has anyone any info on how long it will be closed.

    It was closed all day yesterday there was 2 vans and a car and a boat at the end of the pier doing some sort of repair work never seen any divers in the water so i don't no what there doing and i don't no how long its closed for vans left around 3.30pm so you can get on after there gone i guess.
    You can only catch what's in front of you

    Species of 2012: Eel pout, Whiting, Codling, Flounder, Dab, Coalie Eel, Rockling Launce, Pollock, Mackerel, Weaver Fish , Granny Fish.

      Cheers for that Parky, I was wondering about getting on myself after they have gone or early mornings. I had a look about online to see if anything was on the PTA website but there's nowt on about it.

        Can't see what the problem is here...

        The repair workers/maintenace were on last year and everybody still went up there fishing...

          only problem ive noticed is where the electric cable is chased into the wall all away along needs cementing in some parts of the pier

            in the past the workmen have always beem o k and let the anglers alone, just keep out their way so to avoid accidents , if workers on pier near where i want tp fish i always ask where their not going to work and fish in that spot

              Cheers for replies lads I wasn't so sure it would be ok to go up while they worked, I guess they need to keep the general public off.

                Giving the workmen a couple of fish last year worked wonders for good relations when I was there lol.

                    I fished the pier today and it was open and no work going on. I guess they must have finished what they were doing now.
