You will not get many folks giving up their favourite marks on a public forum. I use a spinning rod for all of my fishing over here, which is mainly for bass, pollack and wrasse. Fixed spool loaded with 15lb mono is my normal reel for this. Bring some sliding floats and some good sized bubble floats/20g Drennan controller floats. I have done well for the bass using 6" holographic sandeels for the past few seasons.

Beachcasters for tope, bull huss, smoothounds, doggies and mackerel.

Feel free to call in and see me at our Clashwhannon caravan for advice if you want it.

I'm over that way from Sunday for 2-3 weeks. See if you can get your hands on a copy of 'the little yellow bible', it contains marks, baits and methods to use and what you expect to catch.
