  • Greetings from the Isle of Man

    Hi ,

Just came across your very informative forums. Can I introduce you all to my club here in the Isle of Man.
Do any of you make the trip to the Island for our Ramsey Angling Week Matches in May?

    Good luck for 2005

Welcome Otty. Ofetn wondered what the fishing is like on the Isle of Man when i fished over at the Isle of Whithorn and you can see it when it\'s clear?
"And I looked, and behold'a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with hi, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger, and with the beasts of the earth"

Hello Otty. fished the Isle of Man festival way back in 1984 when I was a bit kid.

Pleasure fished the Calf of man on our last day there, cracking sport with Wrasse Pollack and Conger, with mullet browsing at our feet. Went exploring this dried out gulley and found a shed eater shell which was at least 6 inches across, looked a bit further up the gulley under the weed, and there it was, the biggest softie I\'ve ever seen in my life - it must have been 7-8 inches across its back. Left it alone though.

Always vowed to go back there, but have never got round to it,

Does a bloke called Orry Turner still fish over there Otty?

Thanks for the welcome everybody. In reply to DavyRed, yeah, Orry Turner is still a very active Ramsey Club member.

Theres a large group of us travelling to the Blackpool Cod Championships at the end of the month with most fishing a River Mersey Open on the Saturday before. Any of you Fishing these?

                      Thanks again
