If its a TSM IIcfs then you have a very good reel. Had one for years and always regretted selling it. They are a very fast reel though, make sure the brake blocks are in and just have a hint of end float. Use a thickish oil in the bearings if you have trouble with it as will help slow it a bit. Needs a smooth casting style to get the best out of it, hit it hard by all means just be smooth, snatch at it and you're as good as certain to nest it. Best of luck with it.
If it a TSM IVfs (as shown in your pics) then disregard the info above as got no idea what that model is like.

I can't remember that model? It looks a little wider than the TSM IIFS I have at the back of my shed. I suspect the IV denotes a 4?

          reel

early reels did not have brakes on them they were very fast i controled mine with a mix of oil and grease
old anglers never die -they just smell that way

Have to agree with neil1964 : I used to have a SHIMANO TRITON SPEEDMASTER TSM IIC FC. Without doubt it was probabally the fastest reel I have ever used, very smooth to cast with and capable of very good distance once you were confident with it. However the photo posted is definitely a wider version than the one I owned. The spool on the TSM 11C was only about as wide as a Penn 515 but deeper. Still if the reel you have is anything like as good as the narrow version you do indeed have a "gem".
