Bri the New prom at Whitley Bay is 25 years old I watched them build it when i was a kid,, It runs from the lighthouse to just before the boat house why the hell they didn\'t carry on & joinit to the prom at Briar Dean is beyond me.. the cliffs in that area are made of mud,, there was on 18hole pitch & putt there I think its down to 10 now the cliffs have been erroded so much,, I thinkyou\'r talking about the Pipe at the other end of the Beach down from the Rex Hotel & along a little bit,, you can get a car down there !!!! but I would\'nt like to try it,, very steep & narrow Cheers Tich

sorry Jim, things happend so quick,, waited & waited for Coza to ring, I thought it was off.... he turned up at 6.30 with the bait & asking why I was\'nt ready ?? I\'d had a few on the Sunday P,M session &had forgotten He was picking up the bait ect,, so it was a quick shoot out & onto the beach,,,,no time to wind up the old windows 95.. You did\'nt miss much,, 5 rockling and a fish called a cod??? not to sure though,,??aint seen one of them for a while,,, It did nearly pull my rod over the railings at the \"new prom\" at W/Bay and only weighed in at 1.1/2 lb bit it gave me a little bit of a heart attack as the rod almost went over the railings,,, might have a chuck Tues as we had loads of bait left over,, dont know wether to try low tide down & up ,,, or high tide up & down, guess I\'ll see what time I get up in the morning.. on a 10 day holiday so I guess I\'ll see what happens,,,,,,,,, Cheers Tich :P
