Glad to hear that your daughters had a great day. We had over 50 participants today and i think every child went home with a prize. Very pleased with the turn out. And we got to see all the hairy planes without being stuck in a crowd

I agree all those who spent there own free time to orgainse and run this event need a big pat on the back....took my two sons and they really enjoyed themselves (even the wife had a go) it's not very often these days you can have a free day out that keeps the kids entertained....will defo be attending again...

A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at the office !

Thank's to everyone who turned up to help, couldn't have done it without you. Apologies to everyone who had to wait for their crab lines to be sorted out, but the amount of youngsters that turned up took us a little bit by surprise. Next year we will be ready for you. Thank's to Baitbox for supplying the bait, and to Thorntons for the chocolates (they went down well), and to Walkers crisps. 40 youngsters under 12 years fished or "crabbed", and 13 over 12 years. Winner in the under 12 was Bradley Taylor with 61 crabs. In the over 12, winner was Oliver Watson with 18 crabs.
A total of 607 crabs were caught in two hours but twice that amount dropped off as the youngsters were lifting them up. It makes you wonder how the heck a fish has the chance to get to a bait when there are that amount of crabs down there.
            Tight Lines, Sam.
