What\'s best tide wise....high or low??

Will probably be fishing the fish quay or up at the marina.

Anyone know if there\'s any ships berthed in the river at the marina??
As my dad used to say....Man who go to bed with itchy bum......wake up with stinky finger!!!

I sometimes fish the river Ian but usually further up, St. Peters Basin as I hate the tackle losses at the fish quay ,always found it better on a flooding tide and obviously at night, been some canny cod pulled in at night although at the minute the river is full of fresh water.
You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

as stevie says best fished on the flood, ive been down the quay a few times just on the turn and had nowt till 3 hours prior to high water, fresh water doesnt seem to be bothering the whiting at the lower end ,though it might be a bit crap further up,if you get a good chuck theres not many snags on the retrieve ,behind the pub just up from the icehouse is a canny pitch but difficult if your using a longer rod, might be down there in the early hours or maybe saturday night not sure yet might try cambois as i aint been up for a while
      cheers Bri
