Whiting fishing is always productive in the summer months. When I was younger I used to fish for mackerel on seaham pier and then bait up my feathers and fish the ebb into darkness for whiting. You can get some cracking bags and big fish using just mackerel in darkness.
Just been looking at botacs retired match results and there's plenty whiting showing up in the in the bags for it being early on in the year for them.
Surely this must point to a good autumn season coming up, what do you guys think ? I enjoy a good day whiting bashing.
sixty seventy whiting came in on the second half off the match just after high water ,could be the rough seas weve just had ,hope it lasts good sport for the krinkleys davy
