    yeah, everyone has always jumped the pier gates but got to agree, there is a time when a bit common sense comes into it. i bet it cost a few quid for the life boat , helicopter and rescue people to come out.

      its not just the cost mate its the RISK the rnli are putting themselves in

        Aye mate plenty of times but as the lads have said not when it is obvious the waves will be crashing over the pier. I find it difficult to be believe your actually trying to defend their decision to go onto the pier to be honest????? We have lost enough people over the past few years, some very knowledgeable and experienced lads amongst them.
