Not just the Drum, there's braid snags all the way along. I got caught in one on the 50 mark on Sunday but managed to get it moving and in. No doubt if I'd been on a heavier mark I'd have lost the lot and added to the snag with my mono

As for the OP the pier was thick with Whiting before the sea got away, good luck getting through them unless this bit sea disperses them

I dont mind people who know what they are doing using braid. As it does have advantages using it. But this season the floating loose string line on many marks is ridiculous. Some lads tell me its all mono. Its not its braid i know as i pull it in. And i know the bottom on some marks as i fish them regular every week for years .believe you me lads its braid.
Am starting to realise a lot of the time the braid isnt on the bottom. Its half way in bobbing up and down in the tide. Whats the point JOKE ...... heres a example.
Why chuck as far as you can off the north drum end with light braid in a big tide? Bag up on 2 pounders big deal. I aim to get the big fish back to my feet.theres much better tactics lads cummon man.
