  • Tynemouth Pier Tips

    Hi All,

I am getting back into sea fishing after a 5 year break.

I am thinking of fishing Tynemouth pier at the weekend.

What sort of ground is it, ie should i use my mag elite or Penn 535?

    Cheers,

    Purron

    Hello !

Welcome to NESA, although i;m pretty new too !

Tynemouth pier is for club members only mate during match / arranged times.
You can not fish as a member of the public. (insurance is a must - provided by the clubs) I'm sure you could join i think its tynemouth, longbenton and another one or two clubs if memory serves ? I'm sure someone will mention the others
Try south shields pier instead? And take ya rough gear is my advice !

There's loads of threads on here about the piers already too if you look for the search button above this in the blue bar

    Hope this helps

You can get on the pier after 20.30 21.00 but be off before 07.00 I use a slosh 30 or Abu 7500i c3 ct I fish the back wall and i find it hit and miss for snags
