1st of all mate i think i would go for a higher breaking strain after all you do,nt want to risk loosing that biggun when your line is under tension with that nice big cod on those teeth although small are like a razor when dragging or lifting fish or even just the abrasion i use nothing less than 35lb on most of my snoods going up to 60lb depending on where i,m fishingRodbuilding & rod repairs

I use 70lb for my rig body and 60lb for my hook length, was gona buy 100lb rig body but you get 1700m on the 70lb by the kilo rather than 1200 on the 100lb saving myself a few quid and I use Ande 60lb hi viz green for my hook length( Us import )which glows up when night fishing off your lamp or head torch £44. lb spoolif you think my attitude stinks ? you should smell my fingers

30-40lb amnesia black for clean/mixed, stretch before you crimp for clipped rigs, and i use 60lb powerflex for the rough stuff. As for the berkley trilene fluorocarbon i have some 25lb that i got cheap off ebay which i use for a small leader on my spinning with 30lb braid and for hooklenths to jelly worms and other lures for pollock and never had any problems with it but never tried it for normal rigs, i guess it would be good for flatties, abit light for normal stuff i would try and get it in heavier breaking strain if you give it ago.
