Anyone have probs with this rig prereleasing in flight whilst in flight going out.only tried the rig a couple of times but having probs ,can imagine putting one of my fixed spools on to my multiplier it would be even worse due to snatchy release of fixed spools.

good bait clip at the bottom of the rig breakaway imps so the job canny.

U are using the clips with a 45 bend for your hook snood ?

I have started using these rigs since I read a article in sea angler, I've caught fish on them and the bite is obviously more direct. When I attach and clip hooked bait to bait clip I pull it tight and leave no sag in set up. Only problem I've had is that in really rough seas the hook snood becomes tangled amongst the various clips needed to construct the rig. It is a good rig that allows the lead to be tucked away when you land the fish.

thanks for all replies lads got lots of info now due to help.if it was,nt for my back prob i got on thurs would of tried things out this weekend but unable to get out as can hardly move wth my back, thanks all again lads.

This simple thing works for me. Tried the more complex droppers and found them tangly. Keep the line thick (60lb trace, 40lb snood). Silicone tubing over the hook-snood-to-swivel knot is useful too. Dead simple, no tangles. It's very compact for casting too.

Similar to up and over pulley rig I use at times but I use a different release method at the top.
