Does this shrink tube come if different diameters and thicknesses???

I take it that a hair dryer is sufficient to heat it up enough

Ian every time that i put shrink tube on i just use boiling
water . works a treat,have never tried a hairdryer yet.cheers.

Called in today to try one of the penn tyoe adjustable reel fittings.

It\'s no different to the fuji one that was on as it wouldn\'t grip properly.

So it\'s now set in the one position with tape underneath it

To console myself I ended up getting a spare rod for my collection.

I had exactly the same problem with the same rod Ian. The fuji fitting grips if your using a fixed spool reel but the mount on a multiplier is smaller and doesnt grip properly when fitted. What I did for a while was cut a small pice of plasic from a ice cream tub and just slip it through the slot in the fuji fitting, that worked a treat. It also means you can adjust the position of the reel when your out

When I accidently broke the reel seet on my axcellerator I was advised by Glasgow Angling Centre to fit one of the new Imax reel seats instead of replacing the Ron Thompson seat. They sent me an Imax seat, (10 quid), and its perfect with no movement. Its a lot smaller than the original seat and it has a clamp system that lets you wrap your index finger around it when casting. Be careful when buying one though as they come in different sizes. The Axcellerator fitting is 26mm.
