What\'s peoples thoughts about the selection below

    Conoflex Nemesis Plus

    Greys Nitra

    Penn Surfblaster Rough Ground

    Century Kompressor WR300

    Daiwa TNXS

    Or any others.

Have been using Penn Noreaster lately, until I decided to fall on it.
Have e-mailed Penn as suggested, but if I get no response I thought I would get myself a replacement.

I prefer my Nor\'easter over my Axcellerator, but that\'s just me.

If you\'re wanting something you can fall onto Ian, get yourself a Conoflex COD6 or DC8 lol

Used to have a mk1 Nemesis plus and loved it, until it decided to go for a swim off cullernose

Bought a brand new Apollo mk1 after that and wouldn\'t swap it for anything. I know a few have snapped, but I\'ve lifted 5 pounders on it and had no bother other than a squeeky arse

Just bought a century ttr, they seem to be coming very popular, ideal for the rough stuff, ive also got 2 of the apollos mk1, which are a great rod, they can be used for every type of fishing, fishing clean beaches for whiting or the most roughist marks for cod, every other angler uses an apollo, so they cant be that bad.

Wouldn\'t be without my WR300. It is a stiff rod but the tip is softer than that on my old Penn PPT groundcast - result...you can actually spot tiny bites. Love it!

Well I shelled out for an Apollo today....14ft version.

Does anyone know what the hell that reel seat is supposed to be on them.

Using both 525 and 535 today for a couple of trial chucks and the reel and seat just goes round and round. very little grip at all.

                  Am I missing something hear.

A m8 of mine complained about his reel seat moving around on his Apollo aswell

I gave him a 6\" length of shrink tube to fix onto the rod first then put the reel seat back on & it sorted it m8. Tightened it up spot on

The first batch of apollo m2\'s all had the same problem but Greys got on the case and started to make the butt of the rod better to fit the reel seats.

                    Hope this helps ya m8

                      Cheers for that info Dazzer.

Think I\'ll have to have a word in the shop and see if they can get it sorted.

My opinion is you shouldn\'t have to arse around trying to bodge something together when buying a brand new rod.

Why should I have to when I\'ve just paid around £180 quid for a rod??

The least I would expect is for them to be fully functioning!!!

Back to shop tomorrow to complain for me.

they are all like that...they dont fix on onto the rods....loads of rods dont have fixed on reel seats.
YOU are supposed to get some tape and slide the seat over the tape to keep it tight.

                              Disagree with you there Jonny.

The Penn Noreaster I\'ve got has a moveable real fitting and I had to do NOTHING to that to get it to work properly.

So if Penn can manage how come Greys can\'t???

Not sure what the other rods are like that are out there.....I think ABU do an adjustable reel seat......has anyone had to bodge these??
