Reg. Jack Melton When I joined Sunderland Sea Anglers as a junior in about 1967 Jack and Bill Samuelson used to run the club. Bill (Rod Bender) wrote the angling column in S/land echo to be followed by Jack Melton and now by Andy. A few fish a good laugh and good crack.

Your right canman. 12" limit in them days and an abundance of Coalies. I remember Alec Harvey winning a car in the Sunderland Open with a bag of Coalies down the side off Sunderland South Pier. Dunno the year tho'. Can't remember.

1982 was the year. My wife drew the peg next to Alec, she won the first day ladies prize and won the second day from the free zone.
