Emailed my local Labour MP Alex Cunningham on the 1st January but have never had a reply. Typical Labour MP. Couldn't give a **** about his local constituents. They will vote for a donkey with a red rag on it whatever so why worry about their concerns.

It is not illegal yet !

FYI the statutory instrument has not been signed to make the EU directorate into English Law via regulation, I am led to believe that this will not been done this month, so it is still legal to take 3 Bass.

The local warrented Inshore Fisheries& Conservation Authority along with the Marine Management Office, officers will be responsible for policing this when it come in.

The Government has today replied to the Petition with the usual rubbish.

Gill netting should also be prohibited during the closed season The current restrictions on recreational anglers should also be in place on commercial activities

Our own minister in my opinion has a lot to answer for, George Eustice.

See the reply to Mr Farages speech from Mr Corbett.

Don't let the Angling Trust off lightly either. Those buffoons spouted some drivel about being 800,000 sea anglers in England alone.
Politicians see only figures so to them 800,000 sea anglers all catching bass (we know that's not the case) would obviously cause a dent in the bass stocks.
Since then the AT have pretty much laid low. Well you would wouldn't you after dropping practically every sea angler in the UK in the proverbial!

Step in the right direction, shame they let the commercials of so lightly, spineless politians,
But the 42 cm minimum size is a joke as for the one bass per day that won't be a problem for most anglers on the north east coast ,not that many people target them,

Is it a coincidence that George Eustace comes from Penzance, Cornwall?
Nice little commercial bass fishing port, then.
