To check tyres or not to check tyres....that is the question

As I said before in a differnet thread Im beginning to get VERY protective of my tyres now, had so many problems a few years ago with people saying 'there mine, get off them'... Please bare in mind that I've been doin my tyres for six years and I rarely see anybody else dooon there doing them, and I'm the only one taking care of them (cleaning the silt n so on oot of them).

Mind you the tables have turned as already this year I've heard rumours of people doing them. By all accounts anybody can do mine when am not there, but when I'm crabbing with me mate, a few words of warning about the thick sinking mud and my HEAVY bucket tend to help...

for your information not every one who puts tyres in for peelers are on the fiddle, i put mine in as i cannot afford the price you have to pay in shops, i also fish at least 3 comps a week and use at least 25 -30 crab a comp which would be
£80.00 a week, plus comp fees 3x10 = 30 .00 + 80.00 = £110.00
so if you can afford to pay this then well done to ya i cant.
so there is no way i going to go in the river in april when its still cold clean and reset my tyres for someone to come along and reep the rewards of my hard work
every crab i take from my tyres gets used by me or froze down for the winter, so please dont post comments like all us crabbers are on the fiddle . some maybe not all thankyou

I find it funny that an off duty cop has nothing better to do than call other officers to help take that lad to court!

I would have to say if you want crabs then pop your own tyres out!

yes your right mate some cops neva clock off, i fish with one guy who's a cop and when he's off duty he's exactly that off duty, but some of the others i used to have a beer with are allways lookn for someone to nick. (hense why i say used to)
Its like all jobs you get good and bad on both sides

on the crab point your exactly right bud if someone wants to get crab from tyres then put some down.
me personaly I couldnt be arsed with putn tyres down and i dont touch anyone elses either, wading through mud and crap dont appeal to me, i collect the odd bits of bait like rag, lug, razor, if i was gona collect crab I'd just turn a few rocks

just buy them from your local shop m8 , once you,ve been buying a while you get sorted properly i now get 3/4 crabs for 1 quid which can be halfed and have done since last year , ive seen other lads ask and be told theres none and 5 mins later i bought 20 quids worth , so get ya face known to your local shop and ya laughing and remember you can blank just as good with crab as with any bait , and your supporting your local tackle shop as well which cant be bad
