  • grip lead wire

    does any one use the 1.6 silver welding rods for grip leads and if so can you tell me the grade that works best for them,
    as have found site on ebay, and there is that many grade s am not sure whch
    grade would be best ` cheers

    316L Grade 1.6mm also worth a look 308 Grade pal.

        316 L is the top grade used for balconies and sink tops ect been using it for 30 years pal

          For what is costs I use the pre cut lengths that can be obtained from the big auction site, its a lot stiffer than welding rods and keeps its shape. It is actually a high tensile Stainless Steel wire. 200 lengths can be had for less than a tenner.

            whats the big auction site, any details pleas
            have used silver weld rods for 15 years now and not had a problem with it, its just that lads I know, not getting it much now as all seem to want it a mate bought it once and it lasted years so gonna try that place first

              This lad is in Hexam also there is a guy in Duram all do great wires, the big auction site is EBAY

              there is also a guy who does them by the 1000's and he is very cheap £28 for a 1000 and posted free.
