  • Rod ID?

I've just inherited an old century rod. Just after a bit of info if anyone can help.

Butt section is marked as "Century Formula ", no ring and is 6'2"
Tip is marked as "tip tornado" has 8 fuji rings (very light green inserts) and has a "bulit by reelsports hebburn" sticker on it under the varnish with the phone number as 091 not 0191 as is now.

Looks in really good condition, but no idea on age, what it can cast etc

    any ideas?

Hi Gary, what you have there is one of the very first Tip Tornado's

made long before the sport or match, it was the forerunner to the Tip Tornado range as we know it today.
Must be well over 15 year old.

Brilliant rod in its day and will serve you well today.

                  hope this helps

                  Terry

Cheers Terry, apart from needing the butt shrinkwrapped its in excellent condition.

Wasnt the best of circumstances how I came to get it, but I'm sure I'll put it to good use.

                    Thanks for the input everyone
