Hello lads would like some advice on leads. What do yous think are best for rough ground plain or grip leads

i like to use a grip as i think it stops the lead getting snaged in small gapes
    but use a rotton bottom

Depends on the sea conditions and tide.

                      Grip or not to Grip

On a days fishing up at Dunstanburgh Castle I tried a little experiment. Fishing from the high cliff top using two rods, both with a pulley rig one with a plain lead the other with a grip fished at approx the same distance. My conclusion was that it made no difference whats so ever.Lost equal ammounts of both leads.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught
