    Penn Mag 525

    Been using My Pals, Penn Mag whilst Hes been cleaning up My Slosh, and from the 1st cast onwards I fell in love with it, a didnt want to give Him it back last weeend
    Ive Had to pull a couple of strings like, which wor lass will never know about! and im away to Frasers to buy 1 after Graft the Day,cant wait to get up the Caravan the neet and give it a few blasts on the Beach!!! HAPPY DAYS!!!
    GET OUT THERE AND STICK A BAIT IN IT !!!

        Penn 525 the new one, they are made in China that put me off, £140 @ frasers he will knck a tenner off if you ask him.

          I was reading TSF and there's an advert by Angling Direct for gear. They seem canny prices, a Penn 525 Mag 2 is £129.99 according to the advert. The one that caught my attention was the 7HT mag at £162.99.

              spoke to rutherfords he said all 525s made in china . the old had made in usa that was just the reek seat but it was still assembled in china....dinna how true tho...

                they are made in china but have brass gears and stainless steel pinion gear so still pretty tough.

                There was a batch that came out of china that had both stainless steel gears and stainless pinion gears so i heard those would be solid.

                Only down side on the 525 mag2's in my opinion is the the mag dial is a little stiff to adjust in mid cast for extra distance the first 525 mags are spot on for than.
