Unusual catch that, at least unusual on daylites anyways.
At least its still swimmin', that'll be one lucky salmon that sneaked its way through the salmon nets.Last edited by <(Andy2009)>; 02-06-2011, 04:16 PM.South Shields & District SAC

old bloke in his 70's hooked a salmon on a lure off the steetly h,pool took him almost 20 mins to get it in, it was a 7 and a 1/2 pounder, wonderful fish, another bloke said the way you tell the difference between a salmon and a sea trout is if you hold it by the tail one will slip through your hand and one won't, but i can't remember wich is wich, but well done mate great catch.

I mate there one of the best fighting fish. Would love to catch one when a go fly fishing for mackerel.
Salmon are very teratorial, which is why it probably whacked your daylites and you ended having fun playing it in.
More to the point, well done for catching it!South Shields & District SAC
