  • reel maintenance gone wrong

I just stripped my reels down (a penn captiva cv5000 and a shakespeare salt spinner) in order to clean them, oil them etc

Everything went fine until i tried to get the bail arm mechanisms back together and for the life of me i cant work out how to do it

Does anyone know if there are some diagrams / pictures available somewhere that might help me?

Iv been trying for a while now and its making me want to drink heavily.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Ta

Mostly US models but Alan Tani's site is always worth a look for reel servicing info - Fishing Reel Repair by Alan Tani - Index

Fixed spool reels are a pain in the butt, always seems to be springs and bits flying about when you open them up.
