    fished the beach at the base of the north pier at seaham fron 4.30 teatime on saturday till 2.30 sunday morning and didnt even get a sniff,apart from the sandeel my old fella foul hooked on the retrieve. Sea was ****ty wind was ****ty weather was ****ty tried rag lug runnydown mussel apart from mountains of weed and old nappies not a thing all night,that was seahams second and last chance,no more for us gonna stick to the gare and around the redcar area!!!!!!

    I know the feeling well m8, don\'t give up totally on some of the marks down there though.

      its a right kick in the plums though when ya prepare for it for days and everything around is perfect and you come away with fk all

            LOL @ Adam........Anybody would think you only went fishing to catch fish !!!!!!!! Think of the fresh air and the tackle dealer you are keeping in comfort and all the beer you COULD have drunk.
            Pass the razor blade when you\'ve finished with it m8.
            If all about you are catching fish, cast in their swim !!!

                That beach is a poor spot at he best of times m8,next time try a mile or so further north.or south.

                  Come on guys dont give up on Seaham you just need to know the right marks to fish.i fished the north pier last night for 3 hours and caught three huge whities and lost a fairly decent fish off{codling}.The old beach where u fished adam is not to good like rod says you would of been better off fishing at the Chems beach or the blast.

                    think its had its chips for a while stickin to the good old gare for a few weeks then might think about the beaches at seaham :P

                      Adam,all is not lost.Here\'s the report from my m8.Fished 2 hrs either side of darkfall,nowt first 2, then 1lb flattie&2lbish coalie taken on sandeel.After that just odd whity but bite a cast,knowing him he will have tipped off with rag.

                            get on the pier i was getting fish every cast the other day the pier is hot at the moment,still a bit on the early side for codling on the beaches in great numbers...

                              Hey Falcone,which pier.I\'m going on Saturday with a m8 & my son so if you could give me a lowdown on methods, baits and where it would be much appreciated.Should be there about 6 cos high tide is about 9,and be away by 10 as my mate has something on.
