  • quality of worms

Has anyone noticed how the quality of worms varies in each bait shop? I used to get mine from i.d fishing all the time but started to notice that they looked unhealthy and are always full of puss. Ive started to get them from frasers in gateshead and they are much better, they just seem a lot more active and healthier. Was wondering if anyone else had found this and what causes it? Any info is appreciated

The quality of worm would depend on where they are from and how long they've had them in. I got some from the Hill the other day and they were proper squirmers. He gets his dug and sent straight up though rather than farmed worm. I've had dead worm and everything from some shops but some I can keep for days

Rag Worm from I.D., Billy's,Temples Frasers Lewis's,Mcdermotts cant complain about any particular shop. Because without them alot of us would be Foooked. Dosent matter which shop it is someone will not be happy.
Got rag from I.D. for a 4 day trip to Ireland and they kept really well considering how they were kept.
I use to prefer Johns in Wallend until they closed.
