  • Peeler crab.

    Will frozen peeler keep from now until winter.if so ,where can i buy say 50 at a time.i dont live near the coast and due to work have not got the time to collect them myself.any help would be gratefull.

      It will mate. It's a good idea to stock up with it now as it becomes harder to get later on in the year. If I were you I'd make the time for a trip to get some, most tackle shops will have loads available for the next few months, just ring around for the best deal.

        I believe it is best to remove the lungs if you are freezing them for any length of time.

            Yes mate, the lungs will be out of frozen crab you buy in tackle shops.

                Just go onto the NE tackle dealer section on this site, it gives you all the contact details you need. Stocks in individual shops will vary from week to week that's why ya need to ring around.

                  Last of mine just peeled and all shelled, legged and de-linged wrapped up and in the freezer until next March now apart for the odd 10 here and there for rough ground use.

                  Frasers often has some in prob at a guess be between 80p and 90p each.
