Met up with a few of the board lads for the Whitley Bay Night Comp. on Saturday. Fished Whitley Bay beach, fair old sea running and masses of weed to contend with. We spent most of the time slaving up and down the beach dragging lumps of crap the size of Tina Turner wigs out of the water. Gave up after a couple of hours, intended moving to Black Middens but ended up at the Fish Quay, nice and cozy but poor fishing. 1 Whitey and 1 Flatty between 3 of us 
and I\'m not saying who got what. The beach fished a bit better apparently right at the bottom of the tide, shoulda stayed there! A good few fish were weighed in, heaviest bag 19lb, HSF about 8lb. And I got to meet myself at the weigh in. Ian Elliott 1 came about 7th, Ian Elliott 2 didn\'t.
Always good to see the other lads in person though.
