The odd mackies are being caught from the boat, cannot say about the shore marks for them. Boat launched from East Tarbet today and due to the weather had to stay close in. Doggies, small cod, pollack and wrasse made up their catch.
To all the NESA lads always welcome to call in for a cuppa and a bit crack/advice. We are here for a lot of the year. Van no 5 on the Clashwhannon site.
John
ps POP39 we will be here 2/3 July - call in for a beer !!!!!!

Been sorting my fishing gear out today. May have a bit bash with lures around hw tomorrow. Forcast looking non too clever for the west side of the mull so will probably go looking for my first bass of the season in Luce Bay somewhere.
Not too hopeful to be honest as still a bit early but shy bairns get nowt ;-)

So far this season I've fished Burrowhead, Port William, Garlieston and the Isle of Whithorn and had nothing but doggies, jumping on the hooks two at a time lol but it was a bit early for other species. Also a couple of small pollock float fishing with a strip of frozen sandeel. During one session my big rod was pulled out of the stand and the hook bitten cleanly off so suspect it was a tope or conger.
Anyone heading this way and needing frozen bait just turn right off the A75 at Newton Stewart and there's a tackle shop on your left a few hundred yards down the road. They have a good selection of frozen baits and usually have fresh this time of year.Regards, Graham
