depends on what size hooks ur using. Bait elastic is essential tho
Nothing makes a fish bigger than ALMOST being caught

get as much of the shell off as possible and remove the lungs inside the crab (brown things) at this time of year a good size crab will give atleast 2 baitings cut it straight in half and whip it on your hook but dont use too much cotton

Was that you leaving the walkway on sunday with the small bairn carrying the fish that Bob (waco) gave him. If so, nice to meet you. I was fishing in the far corner with the fence behind me. Waco showed me many, many of the things I have learned over the years and still use them today.

They're fresh ones he got mate so yes they would have to be peeled and as said, subject to the size of them and the hooks yer using, you might get two chucks off the one peeler. If yer using frozen I personally take them in a flask and what I don't use stays frozen and is put back in the freezer after the sesh without it having thawed. I also like to bait up with a frozen crab when it's just starting to thaw, so take one from the flask a few minutes or so (depends on the ambient temp) before reeling in for the next chuck. They're easy to tie on in this state and will probably completely thaw by the time they hit the sea bed. if you thaw a one out and then try and tie it on it's a nightmare and a good chuck won't do it any good either.
