    fished the river aln today with my 2 sons we had 12 flatties between us and i caught a sea trout of about a 1lb 1/4 lovely bar of silver the flatties where of good stamp all between 39 to 41 lovely flanks on them no scabs caught on crab and bluey,my sea trout took the peeler crab was just going to get a picture and it slipped out of my hand you should of seen me trying to catch it in the shallows but it out did me nice day bar the wind

        Nice going mate, al be again out tomorra to cause them fishies neucence again!!.

        Bet that trout was nice to see, its more of a bar of soap than a bar of silver for ot to escape from you like that!

              my son caught 1 last year and i caught 1 also on the mepps but mine came off as i got it to the side of the bank it was only about 9ozs we where fishing on the north side opposite the farm just b4 the boats like some of the comments lads great!!!!

                was up there on friday with steak n kidney (mick) he had 8 with 2 cracking ones both weighing just under the 2lb mark 1 was a plaice but not that sure it was covered in orange spots any way i got 5 but all small all caught on rag n mackrel

                  chances are it was a flounder mate my biggest also had pale orange spots on but it was a flounder commun mistake people make if you where fishing right down at the mouth then thier might of been a chance of a plaice but it,s normally flounders,seatrout & eels up thier but you never no welldone on your catch.
