Tope and mackerel make a show !!!

Mate of mine who has a static caravan over on the Mull of Galloway caught 3 tope yesterday,the biggest being 35 lbs. He also took 3 mackerel. This is the news a lot of us want to here. I just hope the mackerel are not as patchy as last year.

We plan to go over 11 May for a few weeks,just itching to get my first bass of the season ;-)

was the tope off the shore mate ?

Would have been from his boat. You can target tope off the shore over there though. Some lads specialise in it. It is not something I have tried but have accidently hooked tope while lure fishing off the shore on light spinning gear !!!!! The tope won on both occasions
