alreet lads n lasses any 1 willing to share any good bass marks wot type of lures and rod and real to use got to try some thing diffrent this summer

A decent spinning rod and fixed spool reel are cheap enough to pick up for less than £35.

For lures try standard toby spinners, as heavy as your rod can handle, vary your retrieve rate fast, slow, jerky smooth.

Also try a bubble float controller with a latex sandeel on it or a colourful jelly worm.

As for marks - Bass are fish that will wander from spot to spot and most anglers have their favourite spots and usually won't give them up - but last year was hard going for me and my mate we managed 3 between us all year.
    Here fishy, fishy!

you could try lynemouth (woodhorn) had bass there before on rag and crab , but saying that ive had them at seaham hall also but you got to get the right weather to target them, plus winds for a on shore so there's a canny surf that brings them on to feed.or theres always the west coast you could try,but you still need the condtions over there also and just check out the beaches at low tide for possible marks that could be bass marks
