  • Peeler.

If you had a day off midweek and had a chance to go looking for peeler where is the best place to go. You don,t have to be exact.

    Cheers Mick.

Best of on the open beaches amongst the rock pools early on in the season for the peeler crab and yep you guessed it west coast areas for the mass moults april-may time, not many if anyone will give out exact locations over a forum where plenty can see the locations...

I find May the best weather permitting.

talking to a lad on shields pier out of the cleadon club wreckons they are starting to show in the tyne.
I witnessed him catching two nice cod on crab too chucking from the small wall.

              this was a fortnight ago

I will be having a look about but i think my best bet is to buy some frozen from the lads with tryres. Dont want loads just a few if i fancy a visit to the river.

                Cheers Mick.
