DCA are the best moulds but they are no longer in business.

There are loads of cheap copies around so beware as some of them border on the dangerous side.

Billy's Tackle in North Shields do a good grip lead mould for about £15.

Be careful with the lead pipe, watch you don't seal the ends as you cut it up.

Oh, and welcome to the site
    Cheers, Keith.

do be careful with the pipe mate,it can hold dampness inside even if oldim a bit complacent when melting bits of lead my self, however when i melt lead pipe its full battle dress im afraid starting at top hatgogglesglovestrousers over the top of riggersand keep my wits about me

thats fantastic, thanks guys. think i have enough pipe to last me a lifetime and longer lol. hopefully will be able to get out more as lost 10 leads off the groin on friday so was proving to be pretty expensive.

Flash-fishing-tackle mate, bought mine a couple of years ago so might be a couple of quid more.

I used to make my own leads with pipe to mate, make sure you clean it a bit inside as you'll end up with alot of burnt c**p in your pot which can put you off slightly, oh and be careful it can get hot lol,

To echo if you get one from flash in seaton deleval be careful as I fell foul of this I bought what was advertised on eBay as a 6oz dca mould but when making leads they only weighed 5.5oz this isn't alot but in a good sea on it makes a canny difference.
I took the mould back to the guy at the shop in deleval and was told basically tough luck so personally I will never shop there ever again.

the majority that were advertised on ebay as dca were poor copies when dca folded the real ones were going for up to a £100
