never use them but i was just thinking of a rig that might use them if i buy some and try i will let u know ....but i remember two yrs back i saw a man who was catching mackerel of the beach in easington ... there were many other on feathers spinnrs etc but no one seemed to catch anything except him ....he kept pulling in mackerel after mackerel . i approached him and sat next to him and asked if i could look at his rig ...when he reeled in yet another mackerel i noticed the rig was a simple one hook paternoster but at the end of the snood was some wine cork with some shiny plasticky foil he said he had tied them together...aand that the wine cork kept his rig at the mackerel feeding level ...i thought this was amazing but have not managed to replicate the neatness in which the way his rig was fashioned....perhaps some floating beads might allow me to replicate the method of his rig ...as i have yet caught mackerel bottom fishing...

used them in the course fishing and worked well on a weedy bottom don't see why they should'nt do the same at sea
