  • South Sheilds pier yesterday

    After 30 years of not fishing i managed to get a sesh on the end of South Shields Pier yesterday with my son who caught 1 tommy i got nowt but enjoyed the day out, and the chance to see that i could still cast a lead and bait. just like swimming once you learn you don't forget.
    There were a few small Tommie's and coalies reeled in by other anglers.
    In order to become "old & wise", you must first be young & stupid.
    Age and experience will beat youth and enthusiasm every time.
    Youth and Skill is no match for Age and Treachery.
