If it\'s just started happening Bri see if there is any little bits of sand or dirt on the inside mate. Maybe a stiff thin brush of some sort to scrub inside. Never tried it but maybe some talcum powder may help also. If not as Graham says a vice like grip lol.

You can get pieces of rubber for pennies from the kitchen utensil counters in the supermarkets. Their made for getting a better grip on jars and bottles when the tops are tight. But I\'ve used them on tight rod joints. A kitchen rubber glove has the same affect and I suppose a piece of tyre inner tube would do. You could try a bit of candle wax on the spigot to lubricate the joint.

i always gently rub a candle on the joint to give it a very thin coat of wax, if anything it makes it an even snugger fit but comes apart a lot easier plus it protects the joint from wear.

Chris and Micky beat me to it Bri !. Ive used candle wax for years on my rods and never had a problem. Clean it off every now and again with white spirit and re-apply fresh wax. Not too much though, just a fine coating.

              cheers.

The rubber grips work a treat that Chris has mentioned. My pal got his Century Saturn stuck. Oh how we laughed on the long drive home with it sticking out the car window. he took it to century and that\'s what they used, they gave him the rubbers and they\'ve been used with success since. Just like inner tube stuff.
