            Nope none baited just the plain pink purple fellahs that seem so deadly over on the MOG

              nice one mate as i know areas with gurnard but was unsure if they would take unbaited feathers, cheers

                  • Can I join the lure fishing challenge? OK this one wasn't very big but it I'm sure the next ones will be bigger. A small but very colourful coley caught on a 28g dexter wedge off South Shields pier.

                        • Two new species to add for me - mackeral and pollock. Also got a more respectable sized coalie than my previous tiddler All caught on a silver minnow spinner on South Shields pier.

                            • hi there was spinning today no bass but somehow landed this creature that i just did not fancy handling ...not sure if its greater or lesser weaver but it had black fins and bright yellow narking on its tails...as usual my crap phone will obscure all details...think i got it by its tails to be fair ...it was caught and released for those interested .....

                              • That's a lesser weaver mate, glad you didn't handle it... Looks well innocent but its a bugger in disguise.
                                Species: Cod, Bass, Coalie, Flounder, Dab, Rockling, Mackerel, Plaice, Pollock, Ballen Wrasse, L/S Scorpion, Common Blenny, Weaver (unfortunately), Whiting, Common Eel, Trout, Pike... think that's it
