  • Going over to the MOG on Sunday

We have decided to go over this Sunday to our caravan on the Clashwhannon Caravan Park,Drummore and open it for the season. Will stay a week if the weather is ok.

To be honest its not really worth wetting a line till May over there. The thing is I have not fished since we closed the van last October and am itching to have a couple of sessions out!!

I sussed out a new shore mark last year to try for pollack and will try there if the weather allows. All I use for pollack over there is spinning gear and a variety of lures/plastics. There are some strong tide rips along the Mull shores so am planning to try a new technique through these rips over the summer.

Will take a camera with me on the off chance I can induce a take !!!! A report MAY follow LOL

Spent the first few days sorting out the caravan ready for the season. Intended fishing but the water was filthy on both sides of the Mull so lure bashing was a non starter :-(

Pal of mine on the site boat fished out from Logan yesterday and got doggies, spurs up to 10lb and small whiting. Sorry thats as good as the report gets.

On a brighter note managed to photograph a nice sunrise from our veranda. This is a panoramic view and I "stitched" 4 panned photos together for this.

Looking forward to May when I will start fishing over there in earnest
