best fished over low water mate, theres rock ledges that follow the outflow channel (will be obvious when u get there)
use a redgill or similar type lure rigged with a controller float, also really slow retrieve
have caught here with plugs too and sp's
last time a was there was about a year ago and a had a few schoolies not even a lb!! the place is normally full off numptys that are keeping everything they catch
also just park in the staff overflow carpark

you will find it easier if you have chest waders as well it gets packed when the weathers good though ! the little green ,redgills work best ,hope this helps matespecies so far :cod, whiting, coalie, dab, flounder ,plaice,3bearded rockling, mackeral, granny fish best for 2012 :6lbcod

Ive had many good days at Torness, but ive had more blanks. If there is no-one fishing, its not even worth trying. The locals are always there when the fish are. Best tactics are...... at high tide, fish off the top of the outlet with a head hooked ragworm and a 2oz weight. As the tide drops, move onto the rocks and change tactics to a small white or black redgill attatched to a controller float (use about a 10ft trace) and cast across the current. Move out with the tide. Be careful, coz if u fall in that will be the end of u. My record for the place stands at 62 bass upto 5lb, so if hit rite the fishing is brilliant. Park is the staff overflow carpark and just follow the seawall round to the outlet. If the outlet isnt fishing, u can follow the seawall round for about half a mile and u come to a small harbour. Ive had coalies, flatties and eels from here. Hope this helps, any more info just p.m me.
