Ok I know it is a long document

For most of you pages 111 to 107 (PDF) 101 to 105 (report) this is the proposed area for a MCZ from Amble to St Mary's Lighthouse. I need constructive feedback from you and I will write a report and submit it to Netgain for the next round. I can be contacted via PM or e-mail if you wish to discuss the report. I do not have much time as usual in these things I only received it today and they need it back for the 18th and I have to be in London for the 16th to Meet Richard Benyon MP and then again on the 21st at the National Angling Summit I do need feedback from you out there. Any messages for Mr Benyon that wont get me arrested.

    Right 11c.................this is really important

Giles..go and put this on the 3.30 at Uttoxeter

    Williams.......pretend you're the milk monitor

Yes Wendy, it's alright to do your eyebrows, but just today mind

The rest of you, get a book from the front, open it as though you're working and try not to get caught by the Beak with the porn mags.

I'm onto it Les. Thanks, as always, for your hard work.

They do seem to be very interested in the Aln estuary.
Hopefully it won't interfere with angling on the river, especially on the north bank.

Just read it and still have a feeling its a done deal to justify wasting money on offshore windfarms.

            pmsl Les

Sad thing is we can both remember her lol.

On a more serious note, I've read the section you pointed out (God I wish I knew what the acronyms mean) - my limited knowledge got me making the following conclusions:

            - the area under consideration has been reduced in size

            - the current level of fishing (commercial and recreational) would not be affected.

            - you would still be able to dig for worm and hunt in the underboulder community habitat (pools to you and me) around St Marys

Questions arising from me would include:

            - what's the difference between an MCZ and a Reference Area?

            - am I right that moderate energy clitoral rock (sorry I just say it every time I read it) only affects deeper water communities and therefore is not something for us to worry about?

            - what are the likely outcomes to the follow up work that is to be done in estuaries. Might access be restricted in them?

Sorry if I'm inaccurate in my reading. If it's right I hope it helps. With regard to your first post Les - what is it we should be doing? What would our constructive feedback involve?

            Thanks again

              Will E-mail you Stores.
Ok a reference area is the one to be worried about "no human activity of any type" this can be as small as 500x500sqm It will reference the the rest of the MCZ that has human activity.

"am I right that moderate energy clitoral rock (sorry I just say it every time I read it) only affects deeper water communities and therefore is not something for us to worry about?"

I said it at the last meeting to sniggers from the men and glares from the female academic from the MCS. At the moment we nothing to worry about, he said holding his breath with his fingers crossed regarding that particular Broad Scale Habitat, we have not had the spatial planning or management measure discussion yet.

              - "what are the likely outcomes to the follow up work that is to be done in estuaries. Might access be restricted in them?"

Yes is the answer so it we have fight on that one.

"What would our constructive feedback involve?"

Me doing a lot of seriously it logs our objections as you can see from reading the report RSA have made an impact and we have not been ignored. In fact the RSPB and other Wildlife trusts are not happy. We may not get it all our own way but if we had not been there the story would be very different. I have a feedback form with a matrix on support, and three other sections. No feedback no report from our sector.

Tony the Aln is already protected to a degree as a SSSI, the North bank is in the EMS, it is mainly for the salt marsh on the south bank, the old river bed and we have the caveat that angling activity continues.
